There are five main species that you’ll be able to find in Alaska. These include king salmon , silver salmon , pink salmon , sockeye salmon , and chum salmon . Each has its own distinct features that will help you to identify one from another.

Of course four states have no official state fish at all: Arkansas, Indiana, Kansas, and Ohio. Iowa has an un-official state fish . Other states have designated two Official State Fish , distinguishing them with labels such as Warm water, Coldwater, Saltwater or Marine, Sport, and Commercial.

There are no native bass species in Alaska . The nearest bass populations are over 1,000 miles away.
The state’s culture is also influenced by her economy. Finally, Arkansas’s cuisine is integral to her culture with such foods as barbecue, traditional country cooking, fried catfish and chicken, wild duck, rice, purple hull peas, okra, apples, tomatoes and grits being part of the people of Arkansas’s diet and economy.

Arkansas prides itself for being the world capital of a variety of things, including quartz (this honor is attributed specifically to the Mount Ida area), spinach (Alma), folk music (Mountain View), and archery bow production (Pine Bluff).
Oregon’s year-round fishing spans the state from native redband trout in eastern deserts to rockfish and halibut in ocean waters – with lots of salmon, steelhead, trout and warmwater fishing in between.
Both kinds of sharks live off the Oregon coast, according to ODFW spokesman Rick Hargrave. He said both species are also known to swim into fresh water when looking for food. Hargrave said it was a great white shark that recently attacked a surfer north of Cannon Beach.
Channel catfish (Ictalurus punctatus) in western Oregon are limited to the Columbia River, lower Willamette River, and a few ponds in the Willamette Valley.
