Alaska Airlines remains focused on improving both passenger comfort and our fuel efficiency. We maintain a young operational fleet of 166 Boeing 737 aircraft, 51 Airbus A320 family aircraft, 32 Bombardier Q400 aircraft, and 62 Embraer 175 aircraft.
Globally, Alaska Airlines ranked No. 36 in the Skytrax rankings, which give the U.S. edge in the Delta (32nd globally). And, in yet another of the airline ratings , Alaska Airlines finished third in the 2017 rankings from Travel + Leisure magazine.
United has the best coverage as an airline and as part of Star Alliance (including Air Canada). But, Alaska , while not part of any alliance, has a very good set of partner airlines with whom you can book award tickets.

Alaska Airlines has experienced five accidents involving fatalities or injuries since 1970. Four involved Boeing 727 aircraft and one involved an MD-80. Sept. 4, 1971: A Boeing 727 preparing to land in Juneau, Alaska, in poor visibility flew into a mountain about 28 miles west of the airport.
No Inflight Entertainment Screens This is likely the first difference that passengers notice between the two aircraft types.

Based on some objective customer experience metrics, Delta is now a better airline than Alaska . In the recently released J.D. Power 2019 North America Airline Satisfaction Study, Alaska Airlines won for the 12th consecutive year in the “traditional carrier” segment.
Alaska Airlines offers a standard beverage service, Starbucks coffee, and free pretzels and cookies.
Delta will continue its commitment of investment and growth in the Pacific Northwest following a decision by Delta and Alaska Airlines to end their partnership .
They’re both fine in Economy. Alaska has a well earned historical excellent reputation which it is still living up to, whereas United is working its way back from a “basket case” reputation but is today fine (no better but no worse than the others).
Complimentary non-alcoholic drinks, as well as small snacks, are served on most flights . Lunch and dinner are served on flights over 3 hours, departing between 10 am and 8 pm.
