Bass Lake is a nice quiet place that you can drive to and make a casual walk around the Lake or you can make the challenging hike from Cone Manor; either one is time well spent.
If you happen to see a bear near Bass Lake , it’s best to give them space and walk away. Bears do not often confront humans, but if they have cubs around or feel threatened, they can be dangerous. Mule deer, coyotes, and bobcats are also common sightings in Bass Lake , California.
Swim at your own risk around the perimeter of the lake between the shore and the orange 5 MPH buoys. There is no swimming in the PWC areas.
