Colorado permits casinos in only three of its towns: Central City and Black Hawk , serving the Denver Metro, and Cripple Creek serving Colorado Springs . It also allow gaming on Indian reservations in the southwest part of the state, and there are two casinos down there.

There is no casino in Pueblo . The closest would be the old mining town of Cripple Creek, about 2 hours away. There’s lots to see and do in historic Cripple Creek besides gaming, so it’s a fun place to visit.
Although there are bingo halls, state-sponsored lottery ticket booths, and even a horse racing track, there are no casinos in Denver . There are, however, 36 casinos in Colorado , several of which are within an hour’s drive of Denver . The Denver metropolitan area also has one horse racing track, Arapahoe Park.

Casinos in Colorado are only legal if located in Black Hawk, Central City or Cripple Creek. Casino players must meet the minimum gambling age of 21 years. Casinos are now permitted to operate 24 hours a day in Colorado . Colorado casinos pay 20% of the gaming revenue to the state in the form of taxes.
There is a ‘No Smoking Law’ in all the casinos in Blackhawk and Central City including the Ameristar. The customers may smoke in their rooms if they have a smoking room and they may also smoke in designated areas outside of the casino but ‘No one ‘ is allowed to smoke in the casinos .
On Tuesday, casinos in Colorado joined bars and restaurants throughout the state in adopting a state-enacted smoking ban.
Macau has recently surpassed Las Vegas as the city that attracts the most gamblers and revenue. This is thanks to its world-class, advanced and elaborate casinos. The city has 33 casinos packed into 11-square miles and boasts big names such as the Macau versions of MGM hotel, Wynn and Venetian.
