Los Angeles is 1,044 miles and a 14 or so hour drive. Port Lavaca , Texas seems to be about the closest Texas beach and it’s 1,088 miles but apparently a much longer, 16 hour drive (It’s slightly less direct and I guess lower speed limits). So yeah, you got a lot of driving to do before you are even close to an ocean.
