From other answers on I’ve found in an hour of internet searching, packages going through the ISC can take between 1 and 14 days to clear customs, depending on the time of year and workload and other flags (country of origin, type of packaging, etc.)
Where does a package go after it leaves the ISC USPS in New York , New York ? If it is leaving the country, it goes to nearby JFK airport to await a flight. A large portion of mail going overseas will not then be updated in tracking.
Once processed through ISC Chicago it goes under the control of US Customs . USPS has no control over Customs .
