Hawaii Five – O starring Alex O ‘Loughlin and Scott Caan will end after 10 seasons on CBS following a two-hour series finale in April. The reboot of Hawaii Five – O is coming to an end this year after 10 successful seasons. Commander Steve McGarrett and Scott Caan as Detective Sergeant Danno Williams.
Apparently, because the actor (Scott Caan) asked for a reduced role. Here’s his answer to this: “I do five episodes less than [series star] Alex [ O ‘Loughlin],” said Caan, who lives in Los Angeles while the show shoots in Hawaii . “I just do a couple episodes less so I can come home to see my family and stuff.
It is not known what happened between them, but Danny and Rachel ended up having a divorce. When his now ex-wife remarried and moved to Hawaii , Danny reluctantly went along to Hawaii , to be able to see to his daughter.
Hawaii Five -0 will end its run with its original stars Alex O ‘Loughlin as McGarrett and Scott Caan as Danno. I hear both of their current contracts are up at the end of this season. O ‘Loughlin suffered a serious back injury during the early seasons of the show, and has been dealing with effects from it ever since.
He had starring roles in the films Oyster Farmer (2004) and The Back-up Plan (2010), as well as on such television series as Moonlight (2008) and Three Rivers (2009).

Overall, Alex O’Loughlin feels like the happiest man in the world with such a beautiful wife and wonderful sons. He bought a house in Hawaii for his family and renovated it by himself. O’Loughlin’s family is living in a true island paradise, isn’t that a dream?
It wasn’t until McGarrett says , “A hui hou,” which means “until we meet again” that really made his exit feel a little hopeful. Not that the show will come back, but that these friendships that we have grown to love and adore, will continue and endure.
Production has begun on another of CBS’ scripted procedurals for the 2020 -2021 season. Magnum P.I. kicked off its third season with a traditional Hawaiian blessing in honor of its host’s culture in Kapolei, Oahu on Wednesday. The safety protocols in place for the ceremony were consistent with the ones set for filming.
Magnum PI has been renewed for a third season which will debut December 4, 2020. Stay tuned for further updates.
We don’t see this departure for Junior , if it even sticks, being the sort of thing that takes him away from the show forever. This is something that Hawaii Five-0 as a series seems to be doing more and more of this season, rotating a few characters in and out in terms of how many episodes they appear in.
