The main airport on Maui is Kahului Airport (OGG). There are smaller commuter airports in Kapalua (West Maui ) and Hana (East Maui ). It’s about a 45-minute drive from Kahului Airport to Lahaina. Both Molokai and Lanai are served by their own airports .
The best times to visit Maui are April through May and September through November. The spring and fall shoulder seasons provide the pleasant weather Hawaii vacationers seek without the high rates and heavy crowds that accompany the summer and winter.

How much time do you need in Maui? We recommend at least one week in order to experience all that Maui has to offer. While you can get a flavor of Maui even if you just visit for a day or two, as a minimum, try to plan 3 to 5 days in Maui.

Many airlines offer non-stop flights direct to Maui . You may also fly into Honolulu International Airport ( HNL ) on Oahu before heading to Maui on a short, 30-minute flight . There is also daily ferry service to and from the nearby island of Lanai.
Travel by Ferry It is not currently possible to take a ferry directly from Oahu to the outer islands. Ferries run only between the islands of Maui and Lanai and between Maui and Molokai. Catch a ferry between Lahaina on Maui and Manele Bay on Lanai with the Maui -Lanai Expeditions company.
