Dole Plantation is located at 64-1550 Kamehameha Highway, about a 40-minute drive from Waikiki .
At the Dole Plantation, about a 45-minute drive north of Honolulu , pineapple is still grown , although in much smaller quantities that during the first half of the 20th century. The emphasis these days is on tourism instead of agricultural production.
Admission to the Dole Plantation grounds is free , and there are also plenty of free activities, including a pineapple cutting demonstration and a fish-feeding pond. Dole Plantation is located at 64-1550 Kamehameha Highway, Wahiawa, HI 96786.
The gardens are OK, not really worth the money . Definitely NOT a must see! If you are enroute to or from the North Shore, stop in for a Dole Whip because that is the only attraction at the Dole Pineapple Plantation . My kids call it Dull Pineapple Plantation !
