The “ Golden Hour ” of photography is the hour before the Kauai sunset or the hour after the sunrise. Other factors, such as available shade and the angle of the sun can also factor into the the timing of the session.
The December solstice occurs Saturday at 6:20 p.m. Hawaii time. At this instant, the sun will reach its southernmost point on the ecliptic and start northward again.
The answer is “yes”. It snows here every year, but only at the very summits of our 3 tallest volcanoes (Mauna Loa, Mauna Kea and Haleakala). This snow has melted very quickly, however.
Hawaii has only two seasons – summer, from May to September, and winter, from October to April. Winters in Hawaii are cooler and have northwestern winds. Temperatures are on average about 75 degrees during the days and 65 at night. Summer highs average around 85 degrees.

Roughly speaking, the golden hour is the first hour of light after sunrise and the last hour of light before sunset. So, there are actually two golden hours every day. However, this is just an approximation. Depending on the season and your location the golden hour might be a lot shorter or longer.
Blue hour usually lasts about 20– 30 minutes right after sunset and right before sunrise. For instance, if the sun sets at 6:30 p.m. , blue hour would occur from 6:40 p.m. to 7 p.m. . If the sun were to rise at 7:30 a.m., blue hour would occur from 7 a.m. to 7:20 a.m..

Two reasons. First of all, as others have said, Hawaii is close to the equator. Because of this, there is little difference between length of day in summer vs winter. This means that, by the clock, the sun sets an hour earlier than it would in other locations at the same latitude that make the switch in summer.
The pier near the Honolulu yacht harbor, Waikiki Beach, Ala Moana Beach and Magic Island are also great places to catch a Hawaiian sunset in the winter season from mid-September to March. For other islands, choose a west-facing shore where the view is not impeded by close islands.
