So what’s a “borough” anyway? It’s like a smaller city within our massive metropolis. NYC has five of them— the Bronx , Brooklyn , Manhattan , Queens and Staten Island —each with dozens of neighborhoods lending their own local flavor.
In terms of the cost of living, Brooklyn remains 9.77% lower than Manhattan . Currently, the cost of living (without rent) for a single person in Brooklyn is around $1,111 per month while in Manhattan , this number is slightly higher, at $1,242.
New York’s 13th congressional district is a congressional district for the United States House of Representatives located in New York City, represented by Adriano Espaillat. The district is the smallest congressional district by area in the U.S.

The Senate is widely considered both a more deliberative and more prestigious body than the House of Representatives due to its longer terms, smaller size, and statewide constituencies, which historically led to a more collegial and less partisan atmosphere.
Because the House wanted a manageable number of members, Congress twice set the size of the House at 435 voting members. The first law to do so was passed on August 8, 1911. Finally, in 1929 the Permanent Apportionment Act became law. It permanently set the maximum number of representatives at 435.
The Constitution provides for proportional representation in the U.S. House of Representatives and the seats in the House are apportioned based on state population according to the constitutionally mandated Census.
