To receive a full license the following must be received and approved in the Board Office: Proof of RN licensure in ND or another compact state. APRN Application. Official transcripts. Evidence of current certification . Clear or approved criminal history record check.
Effective January 1, 2004, North Dakota joined the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). The Nurse Licensure Compact allows the multistate licensure privilege to practice in other compact states .
Once all of the above are received in our office and approved, full licensure is processed within 7 to 10 business days of approval. Applicants for initial licensure by endorsement or examination shall receive a license expiring December 31 of the following year as part of the application fee.
