One full day in Arches will allow visitors time to experience a nice variety of the Arches trails while two days will allow time to explore all the big trails. We spent 1.5 dyes in Arches and then spent the afternoon taking in the magnificent views at Dead Horse Point State Park .

You can visit both Arches and Canyonlands in the same day if you are here during the summer when you have daylight for a long stretch. Take a lunch with you so that you do not have to travel back to town between trips. First, I suggest visiting Arches National Park, which has world-famous arches and rock formations.

Best times to Visit Moab Spring and fall are great times to visit Moab ; it is usually not as crowded and the temperatures are ideal for long days of hiking, mountain biking and most outdoor activities. Both National Parks in Moab are open year -round.

A week would give you lots of time to enjoy this area. You could see Arches in a day if you really wanted to, but two days for a casual look would work too- take every hike you hear about! And you’ll want to schedule a time for a ranger led Fiery Furnace hike (they book out 1-2 days ahead).
It’s difficult to see Delicate Arch from the main park road ; you must get out of the car to view it. At Lower Delicate Arch Viewpoint, you can walk a level 100 yards (91 m) to see the arch from one mile away. The trail to see Delicate Arch up close and personal is 3 miles (4.8 km) roundtrip and climbs 480 feet (146m).
