Part-time enrollment allows students to dual enroll in Utah Online School while continuing to attend a brick-and-mortar high school . Students may do this to graduate early , reduce their schedule or make up failed courses. Enrollment for the 2019-20 school year opens March 1.
Though the minimum diploma requirement is twenty one ( 21 ) credits , we encourage students to develop a four year learning plan and take courses that will provide them the best foundation for college or career, even if that means earning more than 21 credits .
Students in high school are required to pass a minimum of 22 credits in order to graduate . The minimum passing grade is a D, or 60%. Some high schools have a minimum GPA requirement to graduate high school , but the state of Arizona expects you to pass all the required classes.
You will remain a Freshman until you reach 5.5 credits. You must earn 11.5 credits to become a Junior and 17.5 credits to become a Senior. If you pass everything during the school year you will have earned 7 credits each year giving you 28 credits . You must have earned at least 24.5 to graduate.

The answer is No. The national average for a GPA is around 3.0 and a 1.5 GPA puts you below that average. A 1.5 GPA means that you ‘ve gotten only C-s and D+s in your high school classes so far. Since this GPA is significantly below a 2.0, it will make things very difficult for you in the college application process.
In order to be eligible to have your Associates or Bachelor’s degree conferred or your certificate awarded after completing all of your course requirements, you must hold a GPA (Grade Point Average) of 2.0 or above .
A Written Request Identify the student and the grade level you wish the student to skip . State your reasons for making the request. Make your request anytime, but it may be best to submit it prior to the beginning of the school year so that a decision can be made before school starts.
Some students can literally have all D’s and still be able to graduate , since a “ D ” is considered passing. Bottom line is, if you can get at least a D in each class, then a 1.0 GPA would be considered passing in some schools and you would be able to graduate .
In fact, a “ D ” is considered passing in both high school and college, as it’s above 60%. While a passing grade may be as low as 60%, you will want to aim higher for many reasons. As a college student, you don’t want to aim to barely pass a class.
