The subscription website www.ancestry.ca is available free at many public libraries. You can search many of our records , such as census and immigration records , as well as some military records . Click on the Search tab, then select Card Catalogue to see the full list of Canadian sources.
Newer reported cases are available online through free databases like CanLII or paid databases like Quicklaw or WestlawNext Canada . Older law reports can be found both online and in print law reports, which are all available to the public at branches of Courthouse Libraries BC.
Check your county clerk’s website. Type your county’s name and “criminal records ” or “civil court records ” into a search engine to find these records . Search for records using the appellate’s name, defendant’s name or the case number.
